Christmas Activities°° 10th Day of Xmas °°

The only thing that I dislike about living in Holland during Christmas and not in Canada, it that there is NO SNOW!

I know a lot of folks actually don’t like snow but I do and you can have all sorts of fun outside ( as long as you are dressed properly ) in the snow. Tobogganing is one of them, being that adult that makes the snowman outside and a snow fight! Give it a try, you’d be surprised. And if you live in a country that has barely one day of snow you have to work a bit more to get those activities down. Once December hits lots of towns have an ice rink.

This year I was also nerding out at a bunch of Christmas themed stores. One of them is Intratuin Halsteren, mind you the store is pricey but if you don’t get consumed by it you will end up buying a thing or two, not the entire store. Check out this year’s video:

If you are someone like me, and you enjoy Christmas themed stores, just make a road trip out of it. They make great pics and the feeling is amazing, it’s like a Christmas themed park without paying the entrance.

Don’t forget your own city activities or anything near you. I have few small cities near me and they have amazing Christmas feeling, also grab a hot chocolate at the Christmas market. ( if you didn’t know most of those are free too ). If you are in the Netherlands and never seen Rotterdam during Christmas, you should go, now. The main shopping area is just screaming Christmas and some of the business buildings are just amazing at this time. Although if you are not huge of crowds, I wouldn’t go right before Christmas.

Again, it comes down to that Christmasy feeling rather than paying to see stuff, ice skating is a must if you are able to go, and if you are living in a country that has snow, you are just one lucky human.

With love and have fun!

🙂
